John Lewis is the first brand to take the top spot in The Drum's redesigned and rebooted Viral Video Chart.

Unsurprisingly given all the attention it has enjoyed over the past seven days, the retailer goes straight in at number one with 'The Bear & The Hare' Christmas ad, which has been viewed more than five million times and shared more than 150,000 times.

Also exciting video fans this week were Ken Block's amazing driving abilities, Leo Messi's silky skills and the PlayStation 4... being taken out of a box.

The charts are supplied by the Viral Ad Network and are based on the number of social media shares each video has received over the last seven days. The Viral Ad Network also writes The Viral Video Blog.

Life's crucial questions, meanwhile, are being asked over on the User Generated Content chart, where top spot goes to Comedy Central's funny clip asking who's better out of Thor and Loki.

The chart also contains Russian police covering Daft Punk's hit Get Lucky. You know crime won't crack itself, chaps.
