People On the Move: Emma Rush becomes CEO of TBCH, Matt Lawson joins Colenso BBDO and Che Proximity hires Emmanuel Bougneres and Estelle Nollet

Lexis has announced the appointment of Stephen Woodford as chairman. Woodford was previously chairman at Adam&Eve, where he saw the merger of the company to DDB.

Gareth Howells, co-founder of Newhaven, has departed The Leith Agency less than a year after he rejoined the company following its acquisition of Newhaven.

Media Scotland has announced the appointment of Gordon Stevenson as head of digital and an expanded role for Dave Bohill as digital editor. Both previously worked for Media Scotland, with Stevenson holding the role of digital development manager and Bohill as online editor.

Matt Lawson has joined Colenso BBDO in Auckland as a copywriter, joining from George Patterson Y&R Melbourne.

Drawbridge, the cross-device advertising platform, has hired the former COO of AOL Europe, Nimeshh Patel, as VP of EMEA strategic partnerships. Based in London alongside recent VP EMEA sales hire, Kate Burns – also from AOL – the pair have been tasked with growing Drawbridge’s presence in the European, Middle Eastern and African markets.

TBCH, the Omnicom-owned digital and direct marketing agency, has named Emma Rush as CEO. She takes over from Steve Grout, who earlier this year left to head up another digital agency.

Telegraph Media Group has appointed former Yahoo director, Denise Parkinson, to the newly created position of global and UK entertainment director. Parkinson joins from Yahoo, where she had been entertainment director of global sales since 2010. There she worked on a brand portfolio including Yahoo products such as Search, Mail, Flickr, Answers and Original Premium content. She will start the new role in January 2014.

Greystripe has announced the appointment of Gregor Smith as head of mobile, where he will oversee the pipeline of business development for mobile opportunities. Before joining ValueClick company Greystripe, Smith has held roles at comScore where he worked as mobile sales director, O2 and Orange mobile networks and the global mobile advertising company Adfonic.

Former Iris Worldwide managing partner Tom Crossley has joined WCRS. Crossley, who held a number of rules at Iris including client services director and global head of people, will join the London creative agency as managing partner, where he will be handed responsibility for growing its digital output while also running its integrated Warburtons account.

StrikeAd has announced the appointment of Gavin Stirrat as SVP and general manager of International, as well as Dmitry Sverdlik as vice president of engineering. Stirrat was previously managing director of EMEA at Millennial Media, and has been replaced in the interim by Zac Pinkham.

Sydney’s AJF Partnership has announced the hire of Lester Martinez as its new creative technologist. His role is to combine and develop the agencies digital technology capabilities and creative ideas.

Martinez formerly worked at Profero, BMF, Leo Burnett, Fremantle Media and Murdoch Books.

Melbourne’s Che Proximity has announced the hire of creatives Emmanuel Bougneres and Estelle Nollet. Both will join the agency in January. Both have worked at Mojo, DDB and Colenso BBDO.

Julian March currently Director of Online for ITV is to join NBC News as Senior Vice President of Editorial and Innovation, a new position. He has been recruited by NBC News president Deborah Turness who was until July, Editor at ITV.

PlayNetwork has announced the appointment of Kim Fleming to the role of director of sales and marketing for EMEA. Fleming joins from Getty Images where she held the position of sales director of media for UK and Ireland, and led the company's media portfolio.

Emily Young has been named as group business director at Posterscope, returning to where she began her career. She joins from Carat, where she held the role of planning associate director.

Lee Garfinkel has been appointed CEO of Draftfcb New York, tasked with overseeing all aspects of the global network’s New York office. He joins from Havas Worldwide and Havas New York. Prior to that he served at DDB New York, D’Arcy Worldwide, Lowe & Partners and BBDO.

Factory Design Labs has promoted Andrew Prince to the role of chief creative officer.
