Palmer says Rudd was victim of the Murdoch press
Newly elected member for Fairfax, Clive Palmer, has said that former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd was a “victim of a nasty & self-serving propaganda campaign” from Rupert Murdoch’s press.Kevin Rudd was photoshopped as a Nazi in a pre-election front page of News Limited’s Telegraph, which was widely condemned for the stunt.Kevin Rudd resigned his seat yesterday on the opening day of the 44th Parliament.Earlier today, Palmer said Murdoch and journalist Hedley Thomas, who publishes a blog in Murdoch’s ‘The Australian’ were “partners in fiction and dwindling newspaper circulation.”Yesterday The Australian published an editorial describing social media and Twitter as the path to ruin.
