Foursquare’s head of product, Alex Rainert, leaves company to ‘take a breath’
Alex Rainert, head of product at Foursquare, has announced that he is leaving the company, but admits he’s ‘not sure’ what he will do next.
Announcing the move, Rainert said “Why now? The team is in a great place and we’re at a good point in the product cycle. On a personal note, my wife is two weeks away from returning to work after maternity leave so there was an opportunity for me to spend some more time with our new son.”
He said that he wants ‘to slow down and take a deep breath for what feels like the first time in four years’, following the start of the company.
Rainert was amongst the first dozen employees at Foursquare.
