Evrythng, the software company that makes products ‘smart’ by connecting them to the web, has signed strategic agreements with Omnicom Media Group UK, M&C Saatchi group, RAPP, Draftfcb, and Y&R to become a preferred partner for Internet of Things marketing services.

“We are delighted to have formed these high profile, strategic partnerships with the world’s leading agency networks. For us, the agreements will create a more formalised channel to market for connected marketing and smart product technology,” said Andy Hobsbawm, co-founder and CMO of Evrythng, said.

“However, the impact of this move is much wider than that – and really should be seen as an important marker in the emergence of the Internet of Things within mainstream marketing,” he added.

The move comes as analysts predict that by 2017, CMOs will spend more on IT than CIOs. As a result, agencies are forming strategic partnerships with software companies for analytics, social media, mobile campaigns to better address client needs for data-driven marketing services.
