Tesco is set to launch its Christmas ad during Coronation Street tonight, as it looks to get a head-start on rivals who are set to air their ads during The X Factor.

Created by Wieden + Kennedy, the advert takes a ‘family video’ style, showing clips of a family throughout the years, from a baby’s first Christmas through the child growing up and having a baby of her own.

The ad features the strapline ‘there’s nothing better than Christmas’, and follows Asda and Waitrose in not being fronted by a celebrity.
