Pets at Home has developed a DreamScanner app to help pet owners find out exactly what their furry friends want for Christmas.

Created by Krow, the DreamScanner app is the first combined creative output since it acquired digital agency Clusta earlier this year and enables owners to enter the weird and wonderful world of pet dreams.

Of the app, Scott Jefferson, marketing director for Pets at Home, said: “We spend ages trying to think of the perfect gifts for family and friends and it’s the same for our pets. However, it can be much more difficult to pick up on hints or tips on what our pets want for Christmas. We wanted to help owners out by creating an easy-to-use app which helps them find a suitable present for their pet, while having a little fun at the same time.”

In addition to helping owners find out how best to spoil their pets this Christmas the app also hopes to raise funds for those less fortunate with users able to make a donation to Pets at Home independent charity Support Adoption for Pets.

Head of digital at Krow, Russell Townsend, added: “As our first project both for the Pets at Home client and as part of the Krow family, it's been great how quickly the digital thinking and crafting have come together to create a fun way to engage with the brand and raise awareness of their Christmas range of pet accessories.”

Once the user has delved into their pets dreams the results can be shared using the hashtag #mypetdreamsof on Twitter or on the Pets at Home Facebook page.

Carat Manchester are handling media buying and social for the app, with PR from Havas PR UK and CRM with Havas EHS.
