Giles Vincent, strategic and creative director of growing digital agency Kolab Digital, has become the first person ever to be awarded a Fellowship in Digital Media by the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).

Kolab director Giles Vincent achieves BIPP Digital Media Fellowship

The BIPP is one of the leading organisations in professional imaging and Vincent attained one of the highest vocational qualifications in professional imaging for his work on photographer's show reels and his use of photographic imaging within his designs, alongside his exhaustive portfolio of off line design work for professional photographers, which impressed the panel of BIPP assessors.

Vincent, who is an avid photographer himself, achieved the Fellowship after he began working regularly around a year ago with a wide range of professional photographers including Kevin Wilson FBIPP, Laura Dodsworth ABIPP, Emily Hancock FBIPP and Chris Harper FBIPP, helping them all to display their work digitally with far greater effect and impact.

Vincent worked with each photographer to carefully craft all their offline publicity materials and websites to ensure that they achieved the right look and feel in order to best display their photographic work.

Vincent said: “I’m delighted to get the BIPP Fellowship. I knew there was a Digital Media category, so I embraced that and to be the first to get it is great. We really went in depth with each photographer, giving all of their projects great attention to detail to help them gain their BIPP Fellowships. Kolab is now talking to the BIPP about their vision for the future and we hope to work more closely with them in the year ahead.”

Roy Meiklejon FBIPP, president of the BIPP, said: “BIPP qualifications are among the most rigorous in the world of professional photography. Qualification with the BIPP requires hard work, determination, commitment and lots of creativity, something that Giles has proven in his exceptional portfolio of multimedia presentations. These presentations enabled photographers to showcase their work in a format which has, traditionally, been difficult to achieve.”
