Jacob's creek launches smartphone app

Australian wine brand, Jacob's Creek, has launched a smartphone app to give customers rewards if they scan their shopping receipts.

The app is available via iTunes

Entitled the “Premium Drinks App”, Jacob’s Creek said the promotion has been designed to revolutionise the way in which customers can redeem promotional offers on the go, whatever their location.

"The launch of the Premium Drinks App opens up so many exciting opportunities for us to engage with and deliver unique offers to the palm of our customers' hands,” said Anne Martin, marketing director of Pernod Ricard Winemakers.

"Whether it's a competition entry or update to a loyalty program, the scanning technology of the app verifies sales receipts and delivers results within one minute.

"From researching prices, downloading shopping apps and reading product reviews, we understand the role smartphones take during the pre-purchase stage. With the Premium Drinks App, we are extending the role of smartphones post-purchase, with appealing and hassle-free customer benefits."
