HTC has appointed Hope&Glory to handle its UK PR following a pitch process.

The team will look after HTC UK’s press office duties, helping manage the UK launch of new handsets, the reviews, product placement and its lifestyle media programme.

Hope&Glory’s team, which will be led by managing partners Jo Carr and James Gordon-MacIntosh, will report to HTC’s UK PR manager Suzi Watson.

Gordon-MacIntosh said: “HTC is one of the world’s iconic brands and has an unparalleled reputation for its design, sound, cameras and its software. It’s little wonder that the HTC One was named the smartphone and gadget of the year by T3.

“At the same time, there is a massive media opportunity to help to take that recognised foundation into wider lifestyle media.

“We’re looking forward to working together to develop some attention-grabbing activities that really bring the new “change” promise to life for tech-fans and wider consumers alike.”

The account was previously held by Nelson Bostock, whose HTC EMEA and HTC Global PR remits are unaffected by the shift of the UK business.
