David Beckham to do 'digital book signing' and Q&A live on Facebook
Former Manchester United and England footballer David Beckham will conduct a book signing with a difference today when he signs the Facebook walls of fans across the globe.
Signing: The event will be live on Facebook at 3pm
The partnership with Facebook will see Beckham take part in a live Q&A in a specially created ‘digital stadium’, hosted by UK sports presenter Jake Humphrey.
Beckham will take part in the event from a location in central London at 3pm and plans to simultaneously sign walls in Hyderabad, New York and Sao Paulo.
The sports star said the events was about “reinventing the traditional format of the book signing” through the use of “groundbreaking technology”.
During the digital signing, Beckham will discuss his three-decade career and some of the content in the book with fans.
