Hacking collective, the Syrian Electronic Army has claimed that it has hacked the Twitter account of the President of the United States, Barack Obama. The hack hijacked links in authentic tweets from the President’s account, but the links redirected followers to links promoted by the Syrian Electronic Army. The President’s twitter account has almost 39 million followers."All the the links that Barack Obama account tweeted it and post it on Facebook was redirected to a video showing the truth about Syria," an SEA spokesperson said.It said it had accessed the twitter feed by hacking the emails of those close to the President."As you might expect all the necessary information was in their emails," the spokesperson said."They didn't even enable two-step verification."The links have since been reset to direct to the original source pages.
