UCD13, the two-day conference based around user experience design, will this year hear from Google’s director of Android EMEA partnerships, Richard Alex Turner, amongst a number of other speakers from companies such as Newt Idea, Opposite Day Studios, Social Change and London Metropolitan University.

The not-for-profit event will offer opportunities to share knowledge between design professionals around user centered design.

Also speaking will be Scott Weiss, director of user experience (UX) at Misys who will talk through real-life examples of difficult situations in user design and explore how they were dealt with and offer a set of best practice principles.

Another keynote speaker will be Elizabeth Buie, a postgraduate researcher and PhD student at Northumbria University, who will discuss usability and UX within government systems while Patrick Jordan, director of technology and UX at Gravity will focus on a need for a user centric approach to UX design.

More information, including the full programme for both days, can be found on the UCD13 website, with the event being held 8-9 November at No.11 Cavendish Square in London’s West End.
