Fujitsu has appointed mcgarrybowen and Carat Enterprise to help build the brand’s profile in markets outside Japan.

Mcgarrybowen, London, pitched and won the account in partnership with Carat Enterprise, also in London, and Dentsu’s Tokyo headquarters.

Guy Daniels, vice president of band and marketing communications, international business, Fujitsu, said: “mcgarrybowen, Carat Enterprise and Dentsu stood out from the competition as the team that really understood our business challenge. The trio not only demonstrated a huge amount of rigor, but also showed us a new level of innovative thinking when it comes to how to best reach and engage with our target audience.”

The agencies were appointed to create a multi-channel campaign for the information and communications technology company to launch in various key markets.

Toby Sachs, acting CEO of mcgarrybowen, London, said: “We can’t wait to get started. Fujitsu is a global technology pioneer and our new partnership is great proof of the strength of our network capabilities.”

Stuart Giddings, global managing director of Carat Enterprise, added: “This pitch was a true demonstration of how a network can be more than dots on a map. We have created a bespoke solution to deliver the best work for Fujitsu.”

The campaign is set to launch in 2014.
