Talk Talk has appointed ArtScience to handle its UK social media account to help alter its brand positioning from broadband supplier to TV platform.

Appointment: ArtScience secured the Talk Talk account

Talk Talk Plus TV was named the fastest-growing new TV business in the UK in May after signing up 150,000 subscribers in Q1 of 2013, and the brand also hired former Facebook executive and head of the Tech City Investment Organisation Joanna Shields to advise on growth strategy.

Patrick Lynch, head of online marketing at Talk Talk, said: “We’re really keen to work with the agency to move our brand forward via social media and enhance our relationship with current customer, as well as welcoming potential new ones.”

The agency won the account following a five-way pitch and the win adds to previous work for Talk Talk for its sponsorship of The X Factor from 2010.
