Taxi-cab booking service Kabbee has awarded its media planning and buying account to Manning Gottlieb OMD.

The appointment follows a three-way pitch against Adconnection and Havas, with Manning Gottlieb OMD set to handle a pre-Christmas campaign later this year as it aims to drive awareness through broadcast and acquisition activity featuring ‘a significant’ budget for 2014, according to the agency.

Steve Edwards, executive director and head of beyond at Manning Gottlieb OMD, described Kabbee as "a truly entrepreneurial business that was disrupting the mini-cab booking service industry".

“We are very excited to start working together to grow and extend the Kabbee brand,” he added.

The company is also working with creative agency Forever Beta, with the campaign set to go live mid-November in London, aiming to highlight Kabbee as a choice for taxi cab-seeking customers.

Activity will run across outdoor, digital and experiential, which will include the use of digi vans.
