Today we can reveal who has made it into The Digerati – The Drum’s inaugural platform celebrating the UK's top 100 digital achievers.

The Drum Digerati is revealed

Assembled following months of painstaking research and much deliberation, The Digerati recognises the key players setting the digital agenda across marketing services agencies, brands, broadcasters, social networks and tech companies.

After consulting the industry and our readers as part of our Digital Census project, we hit upon a longlist of some 200 or so of the most important people working in the UK digital industry before opening this up to public voting to determine the 100 most worthy individuals and the order they should appear in.

Thousands of votes were cast and, as we announced at the Dadi Awards, SapientNitro's European managing director, Nigel Vaz, was voted number one. This earned him the extra recognition of being named Dadi Individual of the Year.

And now the wait is over to find out who has joined Vaz in the top 100. On our Digerati page you will find the full ranked list and profiles of all the individuals involved.

Gordon Young, editor of The Drum, said: "Today's publication represents an exciting first for The Drum, and we're delighted to be able to reward – both online and in a beautifully crafted book – 100 outstanding individuals whose achievements in the last year warrant recognition.

"When you look at the quality of those in the top 100, and think of the countless others who could have featured too, it illustrates the enormous wealth of digital talent we have here in the UK. More than that, the diverse range of industries and skills represented shows how the digital industry has matured to permeate so many aspects of our daily lives.

"We must say thanks to our readers for helping us to arrive at this point, and congratulations to all who have earned the respect of their peers and made it into The Digerati."

In addition to today's online publication, we have also created a perfect-bound A5 book to immortalise the entrants in the inaugural Digerati. You can order your copy now.
