Sportscotland has named Dog Digital as its new digital agency partner, in time for both the Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup which Scotland hosts next year.

These two high profile events has given the national agency for sport in Scotland the opportunity to accelerate its plans for world class sporting systems at all levels, with digital technology playing a part in its plans.

“At Sportscotland our clear focus is supporting and developing a world class sporting system at all levels. To help us achieve that goal, we need world class digital communications and I’m confident that the team at Dog Digital can help us realise this aspiration,” commented Matt Lock, head of communications at Sportscotland.

Tasked with planning, shaping and delivering the sport agency’s full digital strategy for 2014 and beyond, Dog Digital has already started work on migrating the

Sportscotland website onto a new CMS system. Other projects will see the Sportscotland site integrating with sisport.com as well as the development of the National Centre Inverclyde website and the implementation of a digital CRM programme.

Rory Patience, business development manager, Dog Digital, added: “As part of our partnership, we are committed not only to developing high quality digital platforms but also to creating a full digital strategy that will build upon the spirit and enthusiasm that the next year in Scottish sport will bring for the agency and for the country.”

Dog Digital was appointed to the account following a competitive pitch.
