The Drum 30 under 30 women in digital 2013 highlights the top 30 women under the age of 30 making an impact in digital. Here, The Drum catches up with Laura Dinneen, head of strategy, Bloom Worldwide.

The Drum 30 under 30 women in digital is an annual platform recognising the next generation of digital talent. Over the course of 30 days we will be running interviews with each of the women profiled, to give more insight into their careers so far, professional achievements, and what they see as the next big game changers in digital.Today's profiled individual is Laura Dinneen, head of strategy, Bloom Worldwide. What is your biggest professional achievement so far? Building a successful business at Bloom Worldwide. I joined Bloom at a time where I've been fortunate enough to be able to help craft the business around what I love. Around what I seriously believe to be the way forward for not just the industry but the future of business. While having the pleasure of taking some fantastic clients on the way with us. What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your career? There isn't one biggest challenge I can think of, because even though it's scary, I have to challenge myself all the time to do things I'd never normally raise my hand for. I've learned a lot about myself and my natural way of working over the last two years with Bloom and it's easy to stick with safe. But I realise I'll hit a ceiling if I keep doing what I know. I constantly challenge my clients to take courageous steps by changing their own "business as usual" so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't do the same myself. What's the next game changer in digital? Bringing 'digital' and 'social' silos crashing to the ground and embedding this way of thinking into the core of business. A lot of organisations are starting to realise that 'social' isn't a separate department or a campaign and I'm excited to be able to use my experience to take them on this journey. I love working with organisations to help them to connect their employees, customers and wider stakeholders to their core purpose, and joining the dots with them backwards to the day to day. What would you like to be remembered for? Changing the game. Who inspires you most professionally or personally? Personally and professionally - my parents. They taught me everything I know about working hard, doing things for myself and fighting hard for what I believe in. Professionally I've had the pleasure of working with some extremely strong and smart people who've invested time in my development, often when I hadn't yet realised that I've got the skills or balls to go for it myself. Gill Souter and Mark Ralphs gave me the confidence I needed to propel myself forward when I was a young upstart. Angie Moxham and Christine Jewell are super strong successful female figures I looked up to when I worked in PR. Kate and Jay Cooper have been an absolute eye-opener for me professionally because they have a special way of untapping the unused parts of my brain and pushing me forward to achieve much, much better. What would you be doing if you weren't doing this? My first choice at my school careers interview was to be one of the Teletubbies, so as they're now extinct I suppose I'd be a Fimble or Makka Pakka. If those avenues were closed then I'd use my social media analysis skills to be a private detective. How do you relax? I live in Brighton so I love nothing more than having a swim in the sea after work or a BBQ on the beach with my friends. Every now and then you can't beat a great hip hop show. Describe your career to date in five words.Exciting. New. Hard. Fun. Right. This series will run for the duration of October. Yesterday's featured individual was Katy Ratican, digital producer, Smooth Radio.
