Billington Cartmell Scotland has closed, with its former business director David Guy having set up a new agency, Guy & Co, which will work with many of his previous company’s clients.

Guy, who headed up Billington Cartmell's Scottish presence in Edinburgh since opening it in 2010, will act as managing director of Guy & Co, alongside account directors Catriona Summers and Lauren Barrie.

The agency will take on and continue to work with Billington Cartmell clients such as Edrington, Scotty Brand and Albert Bartlett, with further work in the pipeline following a project hand-over period.

Guy described the ethos of the agency as “all in” and said that it would aim to “work collaboratively to drive creativity and deliver impact using the best planning, creative and production talent available.”

It is understood that the two agencies will continue to work as partners going forward also.

Paul McLaughlin, managing director of Scotty Brand, said: “We fully support the Guy & Co agency proposition and are confident their high levels of service and creativity will take Scotty Brand to even greater levels of commercial success in 2014.”

Meanwhile, earlier today it was announced that former Billington Cartmell group managing director, Jason Nicholas had joined Space as a managing partner.
