Now That’s What I Call Music! has appointed MediaVest to handle its £6m media planning and buying account for the UK and Ireland.

MediaVest will manage all upcoming releases in the series of various artists’ compilation albums, starting with the release of Now That’s What I Call Music! 86, in November 2013.

Steve Parker, managing director at MediaVest, said: “We are delighted to be working with such an iconic brand that has graced the music collections of teenagers for decades. We look forward to creating campaigns which ensure that Now That’s What I Call Music! continues to grow and thrive in a world where digital technology continues to change both the music and communication industry.”

Pete Duckworth, joint MD for Now, added: “We are delighted to continue working with MediaVest and build on the already successful partnership we have developed with them, and we will continue to work together to develop exciting and innovative plans for the Now brand.”

The agency was appointed following a three way pitch against Mindshare and MediaCom.
