The Drum 30 under 30 women in digital 2013 highlights the top 30 women under the age of 30 making an impact in digital. Here, The Drum catches up with Caroline Lewis, senior account manager, AKQA.

The Drum 30 under 30 women in digital is an annual platform recognising the next generation of digital talent. Over the course of 30 days we will be running interviews with each of the women profiled, to give more insight into their careers so far, professional achievements, and what they see as the next big game changers in digital.Today's profiled individual is Caroline Lewis, senior account manager, AKQA. What is your biggest professional achievement so far?Carving out a niche for myself at an agency I'm forever proud to say I work for. I greedily balance a few hats on my head; from project management to account management, copywriting to social media strategy. I've moved between them as I've progressed, but I was always really reluctant to choose one discipline and leave anything behind. Now that I'm part of the social media team, I've been able to forge the perfect hybrid role for myself and I'm working on some great projects, surrounded by people who inspire and amaze me daily with their passion for creativity and innovation. It's an exciting place to be. What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your career? The social landscape evolves so quickly that brands who aren't nimble enough to be reactive miss out on massive potential opportunity. I've worked with some big global corporations recommending organisational changes to enable them to keep up with the pace, as well as educating the business on taking some of the controlled risks that are necessary in order to be effective in social. It's been a challenge, but the impact across their businesses has been huge and the results speak for themselves. What's the next game changer in digital? Data. Nothing new of course, but the sheer volume being created right now is just mind-blowing. We're tracking every inch of our behaviour, with wearable tech everywhere you look, and smart companies are adapting their marketing approach and tailoring their message to be perfectly relevant to each and every customer. I'm fascinated to see how far this can go. What would you like to be remembered for? For being a great storyteller who produces award-winning work.Who inspires you most professionally or personally? My good friend Anna Lewis (@anna_cn) - digital publishing entrepreneur and founder of Completely Novel and ValoBox. What would you be doing if you weren't doing this? Working at an animal charity. How do you relax? I don't do it half as much as I should. Once the working day is over, you'll find me blogging, writing and researching until I can't keep my eyes open. Describe your career to date in five words.Diverse. International. Fast-paced. Exciting. Rewarding. This series will run for the duration of October. Yesterday's featured individual was Amy McCulloch, client services director, eight&four.
