SapientNitro has designed a new logbook app for RAC Queensland, aimed at making learning to drive much easier for young Queenslanders.

'The way of the future'

The RACQ Learn2go app, based on the company's Learn2go learner driver program, aims to supplant the logbook in which learner drivers record their minimum 100 hours of driving practice.

The iOS or Andriod app tracks the learner's driving distance, night and day driving hours, approved driving practice, and enables them to print or email their logbook while syncing with the online logbook, SapientNitro said.

"We were able to soft launch the Learn2go app ahead of the school holiday period, which is a peak time for Learner drivers, and after two weeks we already had more than 2,000 downloads and a number of five-star ratings from users. The app has been very well received and we are excited for phase two,” said Rod Netterfield at RACQ.

SapientNitro’s, Stephen Forth, managing director Brisbane, said: “The Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Scott Emerson gave his official recognition of the app, calling it an Australian first and declaring it 'the way of the future,'"
