Showcase launches mobile site for on-the-go bookings
Showcase Cinemas is to launch a mobile site that will allow customers to book cinema tickets on the move.
Designed with commuting customers in mind, the site will allow filmgoers to book tickets simply by clicking what they want to see, followed by where and when.
The new site will also allow customers access to the trailers of the films on offer.
Jon Dixon, Showcase's marketing director, said:
“We have seen a huge amount of growth when it comes to customers booking tickets via their smartphones and tablets and expect the trend to continue as our lives become busier and increasingly time poor.
“Our new mobile site is designed to make our customers’ lives as easy as possible, so that finding their film time information and booking tickets is as quick as possible, with more supporting information on the films and cinema locations on the site should the user want it.”
Showcase owns over 20 cinemas in the UK and more than 850 screens worldwide.
