News Corp Australia has implemented a new digital sales revenue tracking system which it says represents " in its business transformation process.

"An important strategic step"

It says the system will drive new digital revenues through greater customer engagement, sales team collaboration and effectiveness.

Last year it was reported that News Corp's publishing unit, including its Australian and UK newspapers, first-quarter earnings were down 48 per cent from the prior corresponding period.

“The platform provides flexibility and scalability in what we have planned for our customer offerings and what we to want to achieve for our future business,” said Mark McGrath, Director of Sales Operations & Systems at News Corp Australia.

The system is intended to unify News Corp Australia’s ad sales management system for its digital sites, visited by over eight million Australians each month.

Michael Mendoza, CEO of Lineup Systems who supplied the system said: “News Corp Australia is a key strategic customer, and we are pleased to complement our multi-channel deployment with one of News Corp’s other companies, News UK .

“News Corp Australia not only increases our International footprint but provides us with another significant and highly valued client in a territory that is very important and strategic for Lineup. ”
