Takeaway food ordering service JUST EAT has launched a series of new ads for its ‘don’t cook, JUST EAT’ campaign, which is now in its second year.

Created by VCCP the spots see brand ambassador Mr Mozarella prepare a team of takeaway chefs at an ‘anti-cooking boot camp, in the desert.

This sees Mozarella put the kids through their paces in a series of tasks including blowing up cooers, steam rollering pots and soaking BBQ’s with a power hose.

Richard Murfitt, head of brand at JUST EAT, said “These ads represent the next phase and evolution of our ‘Don’t Cook, JUST EAT’ challenger brand positioning, going all out with even more action comedy, surrealism and entertainment for takeaway lovers, who just fancy a night off from cooking.”

Oliver Lewis-Barclay, group business director at VCCP, said “Following their audacious kidnapping of Anthony Worrall Thompson for his crimes against takeaways, the latest rebel chef capers are kind of Dad's Army meets Four Lions meets Wild Geese. A heady cocktail we hope will maintain the amazing response rates we've had since the chefs made their debut last year.”

Earlier this week, JUST EAT CMO Mat Braddy revealed to The Drum that it was aiming to include the use of Vine videos in its latest advertising campaign while also discussing the brand's use of social media and an evolution in its claims that "chefs suck".
