Mark Pincus, a pioneer of games like “FarmVille,” has told a group of dozens of young Israeli tech entrepreneurs that he is "bored with games" according to a WSJ blog.

No comment from Zynga

Pincus, founder of troubled games giant Zynga, made the admission during a days-long visit to Israel, where he had been touring and meeting with people in the local startup community.

During a question and answer session, Yossi Vardi, a longtime leader of the Israeli venture funding community, asked him what his favourite game was.

“Right now, I’m pretty bored with all games,’’ he said.

"When Vardi gave him the chance to retract or recast his comment, Pincus didn’t," says the blog.

Three top executives left Zynga in August, weeks after Pincus handed over the CEO reins to former Microsoft executive Don Mattrick, sharing power at the top.

Pincus explained that while had been addicted to games like “FarmVille” and “CityVille” when they were released, he is still waiting to find a new obsession. “I want that addiction again,” he said.

A Zynga spokeswoman declined to comment.
