Brugal rum appoints Equator to develop website as it plans expansion in UK market

The Edrington Group has appointed Equator to create a website for its premium rum brand, Brugal.

The agency has been tasked with creating a global brochure site, showcasing the Brugal range and its heritage, which will be tailored with local market content and language.

Kirsten Daly, global brand manager Brugal, explained that Equator’s work with previous brands, including Disney, AXA Insurance, SSE, Tesco Bank and Malmaison, helped it win the account.

“We were impressed with Equator’s track record in delivering innovative digital platforms for major brands both within the premium spirits sector and other industries and are looking forward to working closely with the team to create something really special for Brugal that will elevate the brand to where it should be in the market,” she said.

Founded in the Dominican Republic in 1888, Brugal is the leading rum in the Caribbean and the number one golden rum in Spain, Europe’s largest rum market.

The brand is now looking to increase its market share in the UK.
