Twitter campaign to launch Lilley’s ‘Private School Girl’
Chris Lilley is utilising Twitter to coordinate a social media promotion for his latest TV show, ‘Private School Girl’, featuring the return of Ja’mie King, arguably his most popular character creation. The notoriously publicity shy Lilley has been retweeting tweets from a dedicated Twitter account @JamieSchoolGirl set up to trail the show, which has picked up over 2000 followers. The account will unlock an exclusive clip from the show if enough followers tweet or post #privateschoolgirl.A progress bar states that the campaign is 27% towards its target at the time of publication, and is likely to reach 100% by lunchtime at the current rate of retweets. The unlock will also reveal the world premiere airdate of the new programme, which has been pre-sold to the UK and will run on BBC3 and on HBO.
The show marks the third appearance of Ja'mie King
