The rise of the smartphone means that people check their smartphones over 150 times a day, with mobile advertising revenue hitting $9.6bn in Q1 of this year.

The research from Adtruth also found that 72 per cent of smartphone users say they are more concerned with privacy on their smartphone then they were a year ago.

It was also found that almost half (43 per cent) of adults don’t trust companies with their personal information.
