Jetstar offers $99 baggage free flights to New Zealand
Budget carrier brand Jetstar has launched an aggressively priced new route offering travellers the chance to fly from Australia to New Zealand for only $99.
The service launches in December
Regular fares on the route will start from $219, but travellers are being offered the $99 fare to bookers who reserve between the hours of 2.00pm and 4.00pm on launch day.
The flights are available in December only, and are conditional upon the travellers flying baggage free.
The thrice weekly service inaugurates on December 16th. . Jetstar is the first budget airline to offer direct flights between Adelaide and Auckland.
The airline said it aims to carry more than 40,000 passengers on the route each year.
"We know Kiwis love to holiday in Australia and now they can discover or revisit another destination more affordably than in the past," said Jetstar Head of NZ Grant Kerr.
South Australia’s state Premier Jay Weatherill said the route brings in extraordinary opportunities for local tourism operators.
