Hamilton Park Racecourse has announced the appointment of a head of marketing and operations, as well as a sales manager.

Ashley Moon has been promoted from commercial manager to the new role of head of marketing and operations while Ann Doyle has been recruited as new sales manager as the racecourse looks to grow.

Moon arrived at Hamilton Park in 2008 from Reeds Tombland having been previously employed in a number of management roles in the UK hospitality industry.

He said: “The move to Hamilton Park has been a great one for me. I’m thrilled to accept the new position and am really looking forward to working with the team on the many exciting projects and challenges ahead.”

Doyle arrives from Radio Clyde where she has spent seven years as a senior sales executive. Previous employers include Mercedes Benz and SECC.

She added: “It was a real wrench to leave Radio Clyde but the opportunity to join the team at Hamilton Park was just too good to turn down. It’s a really vibrant business and a hugely exciting role so I am simply looking forward to getting started and making a contribution to the success of the venue.”

The pair will report to chief executive Vivien Kyles.
