Three network announces plans to abolish roaming charges
Mobile network Three has abolished roaming charges in the Republic of Ireland, Australia, Italy, Hong Kong, Sweden and Denmark.

The provider’s parent company, Hutchison Whampoa, operates mobile networks in the countries but said users would be able to roam on any network. The company plans to roll the service out in more countries in the coming months.
The ‘Feel at Home’ scheme allows users to roam with their usual UK price plans for phone calls, texts and data usage.
European price caps on roaming charges came into force in June in a bid to reduce high costs faced by travellers within the EU. In July, a study showed that nearly half of the UK's smartphone users would switch network if it resulted in a reduction in roaming charges.
