Forward Swindon, established by Swindon Borough Council in 2010 to deliver and facilitate economic growth and property development, has appointed Equimedia to raise awareness of Swindon as an excellent base for business.

The multi-faceted digital display campaign will target businesses in and around London and encourage them to move down the M4 corridor.

Julia Falcon, head of communications and marketing for Forward Swindon, said: “It was important for us to work with a local partner that has a mutual affiliation with the very area we are trying to promote. We are so pleased to be working with Equimedia because of the team’s in-depth knowledge of Swindon and great experience in running effective digital campaigns. Following a brief but very successful campaign earlier this year, we are confident we’ll see great results once again.”

The campaign, set to run from 2 September until February 2014, will include ad space on websites aimed at businesses ranging from start-ups to large, established enterprises.

Andrew Burgess, CEO of Equimedia, said: “We are very proud to be working with Forward Swindon and Swindon Borough Council to showcase what a great place Swindon is to base a business. Having made the decision to establish ourselves here more than 10 years ago, we plan and manage digital marketing for our clients nationally and internationally, and have seen our business grow from strength to strength. We are looking forward to helping attract high value businesses to the area and play our part in the continuing growth of Swindon.”
