GroupM has named Pierre Conte as CEO of its operations in France, succeeding Bruno Kemoun and Eryck Rebbouh, who have led the development of GroupM France over the past two years.

“We have ambitious plans for GroupM and our agencies in France,” said GroupM EMEA CEO Dominic Grainger.

He added: “We’re now entering a new phase of our development and are expanding new services in digital, consumer insight and content to help our clients grow their business. Pierre's management experience, leadership qualities and knowledge of the market make him the ideal candidate to lead GroupM in France and bring our future ambitions to life.”

Conte most recently served as CEO of Figaro Media and Figaro Classifieds as well as director of Madame Figaro, responsible for advertising sales of Groupe Figaro.

Effective 16 September, he reports to Grainger as he oversees GroupM France’s five media agencies: KR Media, Maxus, MEC, MediaCom and Mindshare.

Meanwhile, Kemoun and Rebbouh continue to support and advise GroupM and its agencies as consultants.
