Sue Ryder has appointed Code Computerlove to help is deliver greater supporter engagement and drive donations through digital platforms.

The healthcare charity, now in its 60th year, has tasked the Manchester-based digital agency with supplementing its main revenue stream across its 400 shops through fundraising and revenue driven by digital channels.

As a result, Code will look to improve site optimisation for its website, which was rebuilt last year using a Sitecore CMS platform, and its user experience in order to increase donations, event registrations and the numbers volunteering.

Social media activity will also be embedded within the site, as greater personalisation is created.

Kezia Richmond, website manager for Sue Ryder, said: “Having invested in a new website and CMS platform we’re now keen to really maximise our digital capabilities for raising money to improve health and social care. By working with Code – an agency with an unrivaled track record in the charity sector – we’re confident that we can use digital marketing techniques and technologies to get closer to our supporters and potential audiences and encourage more people to support us, get involved with our events and become volunteers.”

Code won the account following a competitive pitch which took place in July.
