BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin accidentally releases mosquitos into studio on air
BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin has accidentally released mosquitos into the studio live on air. Alongside presenter Bill Turnbull, Minchin was discussing a segment which was attempting to find out whether mosquitos preferred some people to others and whether drinking alcohol deterred them from biting, when Minchin accidentally released them into the studio. The presenter was reaching into a box contacting the creatures to test the theory, when she accidentally ripped off the safety netting. Twitter reacted instantly with the hashtag #mosquitoontheloose being used:
BBC news was hilarious this morning! Louise pulled the mosquito net off the box... So funny! #mosquitosontheloose
