Farpoint Labs and We Are Creative merge to form Kolab

Digital marketing agency Farpoint Labs, which is part of the expanding Ferrier Pearce Creative Group, has merged with independent digital agency We Are Creative to form a new full service digital marketing agency called Kolab.

Following the merger of the two agencies, Kolab now has six offices in London, Dorset, Cambridgeshire, Dublin, Surrey and Poland offering clients the full range of digital services from web design to optimisation and from digital insight to social media support.

Farpoint Labs was launched in London by parent company Ferrier Pearce Creative Group, in January 2011, while We Are Creative was launched in Wimbourne, Dorset at the beginning of 2012 by Giles Vincent, who now assumes the role of strategic and creative director at Kolab. Ferrier Pearce Creative Group’s co-founder Nigel Ferrier was previously the acting MD of Farpoint Labs and as executive chairman of the Group will now continue to oversee the broader development of the Group, which also consists of creative communications agency Ferrier Pearce and digital media relations agency Optimise.

Kolab’s client list now includes Wates, Ensign, Dorest Visual Arts, HSBC, Babcock, Pension Corporation, Silicon Beach, Gatemore, The Institute, Capability Brown CB300, City Commando, Crest Nicholson and Clare College, Cambridge.

The merger came about after the two companies worked collaboratively on a number of client projects and recognised the strengths that each party brought to the partnership as Nigel Ferrier explains: “To deliver digital solutions today you need the right team. We saw in Giles and his team at We are Creative exactly that. A team that shared the same values and vision as ourselves. It is a natural fit. Already we are producing some great work. Intelligent, insightful and intuitive."

On the merger Giles added: “When we first started working with Farpoint Labs it quickly became apparent that we shared similar values, experience and drive to achieve digital excellence. Personally, I immediately related to the team and felt that I could offer the missing link to push the digital offering and improve our communication internally and externally to our clients.

Ferrier Pearce was launched in 1991 by Nigel Ferrier and he now heads up the agency with business partner and Ferrier Pearce Group creative director Jon Pearce.
