Unicef has launched an ‘End of Violence Against Children’ campaign, aiming to highlight that “just because you can’t see violence, doesn’t mean it’s not there.”

Unicef brought in actor and goodwill ambassador Liam Neeson in a bid to highlight instances of violence against children, cyber bullying and gang rape.

The 60-second spot shows the aftermath violence rather than actual event, leaving viewer to construct their own narrative.

Naked Communications and production company Brand New School were tasked by Unicef to develop the project which also includes a microsite and a social media guide which outlines ways for children, parents and communities to take action.

Jonathan Notaro, Brand New School's director explained: "We wanted the disturbing images of a distressed room coupled with the sincere cadence of the narrator's voice to leave a lasting impression of the horrifying reality of violence against children in the viewer’s mind."

"Regardless of country of origin or background, every person will come up with their own powerful and poignant story, hopefully moving them to compassionate action," he continued.
