Newsquest Media Group denies resignation of regional managing director Tim Blott
Newsquest Herald & Times has dismissed rumours that regional managing director at Newsquest Media Group Tim Blott has resigned from the company.
Ahead of NUJ members working at the Glasgow-based newspaper offices implementing a work-to-rule vote from Friday following the announcement that it was to make eight compulsory redundancies, rumours have circulated within Scotland’s newspaper industry of Blott’s resignation.
The rumours seem to stem from an admission made to the profile on Company’s House for Newsquest Media Group stating that Blott resigned as a director on 11 June.
A spokesperson for Newsquest Herald & Evening Times told The Drum that he had “definitely not left the company” and would return from his holiday on Monday.
