Intel and Toshiba have launched a new interactive film that warns of the dangers of alien moustaches and unibrows taking take over the world, inviting Facebook users to star as either an invader or guardian.

Titled ‘The Power Inside’, the film follows on from Intel and Toshiba’s hit social-film The Beauty Inside, which won a Cannes Lions film Grand Prix this year.

The new interactive film, directed by "Blades of Glory's" Will Speck and Josh Gordan and starring Harvey Keitel, allows Facebook users to take part in the movie by becoming an ‘invader’ or a ‘guardian’

To audition as an invader for the short-film episodes, you simply have to upload your picture onto the dedicated Facebook page using the special app which superimposes a moustache onto faces. To become a ‘guardian’ you can upload a picture of you removing a moustache or monobrow.

Auditionees will then star in one of episodes that will be released over six weeks, starting from August 15.

"When we embarked on the first social film, the concept of branded entertainment was still in its infancy, yet consumers rewarded the newness and boldness with tens of millions of views and recently with a coveted Daytime Emmy," said Johan Jervoe, Intel's vice president partner marketing.

"We continue to push the boundaries by partnering with acclaimed Hollywood talent and experimenting with new social tools to keep the experience fresh for our fans around the world."
