Alfredo Gangotena, MasterCard’s marketing chief has announced his intention to retire on 1 September.

Gangotena has spent nine years working on MasterCard’s marketing efforts, after joining the group in 2004.

Since becoming chief marketing officer in 2010, he has handled the company’s advertising, sponsorships, promotions, research and digital-marketing initiatives.
