Leeds-based search marketing agency Search Laboratory is making the most of Bruce Springsteen’s visit to the city’s First Direct Arena tonight with a series of Google ads declaring: “Baby, we were born to run your PPC & SEO business.”

Born To Run: The ads will give fans of The Boss a smile

The agency used key terms ‘Bruce Springsteen’, ‘Leeds’ and ‘First Direct Arena’ to optimise Google search and played on one of The Boss’s big hit songs, Born To Run.

The gig marks the first time Springsteen has played in Leeds in 28 years and the 63-year-old will be the first to perform at the new Leeds Arena.

Commercial director at Search Laboratory, John Readman, said: “As a Leeds-based business we wanted to mark the opening of the city’s fantastic new entertainment arena in our way, and being a search marketing agency we opted for some light-hearted PPC adverts.”

The agency works with brands such as Asos and River Island.
