BSkyB expected to announce £100m profit rise
BSkyB is expected to announce a £100m rise in pre-tax profits when its full year results are announced next week.
It is being suggested by city analysts that Sky could reveal profits of £1.32bn, as well as 5000 new customers over the past financial year.
The company is currently embroiled in a battle with rival BT over the launch of BT Sports.
BSkyB announced in June that it would be cutting the prices of its broadband packages as it looked to offset the competition after BT revealed that the channel would be free to everyone who held a BT broadband account.
