Weber Shandwick’s Manchester office has announced the promotion of Andy Poole to director, having worked with the company for nine years.

Having joined Weber Shandwick in 2002 as a graduate, Poole worked with RMS PR and Paver Smith between 2006 and 2008 before re-joining Weber Shandwick.

Managing director, Jo Leah, commented: “Andy’s enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit have seen him climb the career ladder with Weber Shandwick. He’s constantly developed and refreshed his skills, providing the agency and clients with added value along the way. He’s a great example of how to embrace the opportunities of working as part of a global network.

“In his new role, he’ll play a key role in helping to build on the record growth we’re experiencing this year. He’ll work with the senior management team to ensure clients continue to receive an innovative and insights-driven approach to answering their comms objectives.”

The agency has also promoted senior account managers Anna Varley Jones and Nuala O’Neill to account directors.
