Luxury home and garden brands online boutique Achica has unveiled its first iPhone and iPad app, developed to meet customer demand.

As mobile visits to the Achica site have increased 124 per cent year-on-year the retailer engaged digital experience and e-commerce specialist Red Ant to create the app.

“Achica's products are targeted at an audience that is looking for luxury brands at good prices. Having experienced a boom in the number of customers viewing and purchasing on our website through mobile devices, it was important for us to invest in mobile as a key platform for the brand’s digital strategy,” commented Will Cooper, co-founder of Achica.

Red Ant worked closed with the Achica team to develop the app based on in-depth knowledge of customer behaviour and smart, data-driven technical intelligence. Using the app customers will be able to browse daily products on offer, access their Achica account details and use PayPal for quick and secure payments.

As Achica experts search for luxury brands looking to hold discreet sales, the new app means customers will never miss a sale whether on the move or on the sofa.

Red Ant’s head of mobile, Alex Sbardella, added: “Achica is an exciting brand with a fast moving product portfolio. As its offers are only available for such a short amount of time, it was vital to give consumers a great shopping experience at any time that suits them. Whether travelling on the bus, taking a coffee break at work, or watching television on the sofa, mobile is the perfect platform to grab these impulse sales.”
