Burberry appoints Telefónica Digital's CEO Matthew Key as non-executive director

Burberry has announced the appointment of Matthew Key as non-executive director for the fashion brand.

Key joins from the role of chairman and chief executive officer of Telefónica Digital.

Sir John Peace, chairman, said: "We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the Board. His deep knowledge of digital and mobile, coupled with his extensive experience of building compelling consumer brands, will be tremendous assets as we embark on the next phase of Burberry's global growth."

Key will begin his new role on 1 September.
