Box TV agrees content distribution deal with Alton Towers 2013
Box TV and Alton Towers have agreed a content deal which see this year’s Alton Towers Live festival broadcast on TV and online through 4Music.
The deal will see a one-hour show run across 4Music’s website, fronted by presenter Miquita Oliver, while its YouTube channel will feature content from the event which will include performances from Olly Murs, Little Mix, Union J, Stooshe, and Rizzle Kicks.
Janie Valentine, director of production and commissioning, commented: “We’re all about having fun with artists on 4Music whilst promoting and developing them and Alton Towers is a fantastic backdrop for just that. Our show will allow a national 16-24 audience to hang out backstage and enjoy the performances with the stellar line up at Alton Towers Live, 2013. We’re working with a number of innovative labels and brands to bring our viewers exciting new access formats on TV and online, adding layers of quality editorial to our existing music video output.”
In May, Box TV launched an free, live streaming service and interactive Freeview portal on which its portfolio of TV channels including 4Music, heat, Kiss, Kerrang!, Box, Smash Hits and Magic.
