Mando Group CEO Matthew Johnson is to step down from the company later this year.

The Drum has learned that Johnson will depart the company in September to focus on his charity Be One Percent and establish it as ‘a global giving movement’.

“Over the last 16 years, Mando Group has become a highly successful business. It has a brilliant client roster, a clear brand position, the right people in senior positions, a strong reputation and all rooted in the right values and ethics,” he commented.

It is understood that he plans to move to the charity, which aims to help eradicate international poverty, in a bid to grow its membership base and develop it from its current infancy stage.

No CEO is being sought, with Ian Finch set to continue as managing director of the group, leading it alongside commercial director Dan Prior and head of consultancy, Jonathan Seal.
