Solus Garden & Leisure appoints Chapter as brand communications agency and reveals new head of marketing

As part of its three-year growth and business improvement plan Solus Garden & Leisure has appointed a new head of marketing and has also selected Chapter as its brand communications agency.

The Birmingham-based agency has been brought on board briefed with launching new brands through the retail channel.

Former Karndean Designflooring UK marketing director Jacci Marcus has also been appointed by the Worcestershire-based garden centre supplier as head of marketing. Marcus has been tasked with positioning Solus as a partner to UK garden and leisure retailers as well as improving the consumer focus of the business.

As head of marketing Marcus will also guide the launch of a new consumer brand and strengthen the support offered by the business to its retail consumers.

Speaking of Chapter’s involvement, Marcus said: “The team at Chapter has shown a true passion for what we want to achieve at Solus… we believe we are about to embark on a long-term business partnership with many exciting commercial opportunities.”

Mike Rose, Chapter managing director added: “It's an exciting time for Solus as a business… Solus are committed to developing their product range with insight and entrepreneurial spirit, leading the way forward in what is seen to be quite a traditional industry.
